Run the Robin Hood Half Marathon for Emmanuel House
After the success of last year’s event, Emmanuel House is delighted to be a Bronze Charity Partner for the Robin Hood Marathon on Sunday 29 September 2024.
By running for Emmanuel House, you’ll join thousands of people taking part in this iconic event. Every step you take will help support people out of homelessness.
2023 was the first time Emmanuel House took part in the event and we’re thrilled to have become a Bronze Charity Partner for the second year in a row.
The Robin Hood Half Marathon is one of the longest established and most popular city centre road events in the UK. The course itself is great for both seasoned runners and beginners alike. It is a single lap, 13.1 mile (21.1km) traffic-free course. The race starts in Victoria Embankment and follows an undulating route taking you along the River Trent, past Nottingham Castle, near the Robin Hood Statue, through the Nottingham Park Estate, through Wollaton Park and finishes back at Victoria Embankment Recreation Ground next to the River Trent.

You have two options:
- Pledge to raise £250 for Emmanuel House and get a free place
Email donations@emmanuelhouse.org.uk to register your interest and we’ll send you a unique code that will enable you to sign up for free.
- Pay for your own place and raise what you can in sponsorship
‘Own place runners’ will need to register for their own place on the Rood Hood Half Marathon website and select Emmanuel House as their charity.
All runners that raise at least £50 for Emmanuel House using a JustGiving fundraising page will receive a free personalised Emmanuel House running vest.

- Sign up for a JustGiving account and search for our charity (‘campaigns’ will come up first, but scroll to the bottom and you’ll see a list of charities).
- You can also tell JustGiving that you’re specifically running the Robin Hood Half Marathon by clicking the ‘taking part in an event’ section and searching for the specific event.

Running for Emmanuel House as a group

Meet us in the Race Village
Emmanuel House will have an official spot in the Race Village at Victoria Embankment. This is where you’ll pick up your personalised running vest.
See us at our cheering point on the route
Emmanuel House will also have an official cheering point along the route, which is perfect for runners’ friends and family to show their support.
Volunteer for the event
We have to provide five volunteers to support with the organisation of the event on the day. You’ll be an official marshal to protect the route, or you’ll be helping out in the Race Village before, during or after the event.
