In this role you will be responsible for the safe and smooth delivery and operation of the night shelter. As part of this role you will review shelter guests referrals, carry out risk assessments and provide an effective and relevant pathway of support.
Between 8.30pm-8.30am (waking nights) you will work with support workers and volunteers in delivering refreshments, setting up and cleaning down venue.
The successful application will be required to work a variety of shifts that consists of days, evenings, weekends and bank holidays as per rota.
Salary: £8.67 per hour
In this role you will be required to provide information, advice, guidance and support to the Service Users (visitors) of Emmanuel House. You will support Service Users in accessing the use of Emmanuel House’s services, referring to the Day team when appropriate.
Wednesday: 6pm-9.15pm, Saturday: 3pm-6.15, Sunday: 11.30-3pm.
Do you have experience of working in a paid or voluntary capacity with vulnerable and marginalised adults? Do you have an awareness of the benefits system, processes relating to housing and homelessness and understanding of the work of partner agencies? Are you able to develop and maintain positive professional relationships with the service users in a non-judgemental and supportive manner? Are you able relate to an exceptionally wide range of people and circumstances? If so, then Emmanuel House needs you!
Salary: £9.18 per hour
