Lottery funding for Emmanuel House’s wellbeing team

We are delighted to announce that Emmanuel House Support Centre has received a National Lottery Community Fund award for the continuation of our Wellbeing Support Team (WBST).

The WBST is part of the wider Emmanuel House staff who are all working towards the prevention of and support out of homelessness. The overall aim of the Wellbeing Support Team is to support clients who have a wide range of mental health and additional issues and ensure they have access to the support and services they are entitled to, but do not have the capacity to access independently.

The team provides support to people with a range of disadvantages, from poor mental health, behavioural issues, victims of domestic or sexual violence, substance misuse, alcohol dependency, relationship breakdown or people who have come into contact with the criminal justice system.

The team’s approach is based on engaging with people who are mis-trustful of services, working to build that trust, and working in a person-centred and pro-active way that supports people to access services and make changes in their lives.
