Urgent appeal – empty building needed for night shelter venue

Our night shelter is in urgent need of a new venue. We’re looking for warehouse spaces or derelict buildings in Nottingham. Do you know anyone that can help?

We’re currently supporting 25 guests in a local hotel and we are looking for alternative options. Due to the Coronavirus pandemic and the government’s ‘Everyone In’ policy, the Nottingham Night Shelter moved into a hotel on 27th March 2020. We’ve been providing much-needed support during a period of crisis and have enabled rough sleepers to self-isolate in individual rooms throughout the pandemic.

We’re in need of a building with individual rooms, or a space in which we can build our own internal infrastructure so that guests can have their own private space to fit with the current safety measures and government guidance.

If you know of any appropriate spaces or buildings, please get in touch with Rosie Needham-Smith on rosie.needhamsmith@emmanuelhouse.org.uk or Viv Dickinson viv.dickinson@emmanuelhouse.org.uk
