Emmanuel House’s on-site charity shop has increased its annual profit to £45,578 during the 2023-2024 financial year.
This is thanks to our incredible team of volunteers who work tirelessly to provide this much-needed income. As our shop is run by volunteers and is located in our building on Goose Gate, every penny made in the shop goes directly to supporting people who are homeless. Our volunteers enable us to open Monday – Saturday 11am-5pm and to continue keeping our prices as low and accessible as possible.

We’d also like to thank the members of our community who have donated second-hand clothes and accessories, ensuring we always have the highest quality stock.
Likewise, thank you to all the local companies who have had a donation bin in the foyers of their offices, enabling their colleagues to donate as conveniently and easily as possible.
Buying something from our charity shop or donating your old clothes is a contribution to supporting people out of homelessness. We could do nothing without the support of our local Nottingham community.
Supporting the charity shop has many environmental benefits and we’re proud of the work it does to extend the life cycle of unwanted clothes and accessories, which helps to reduce the volume of waste sent to landfills.
We’re excited for another year of trading, supporting our community, reducing waste, meeting new customers and welcoming new volunteers.
