easyfundraising: raise money for Emmanuel House with your online shopping at no extra cost to you or us

Sign up to a free easyfundraising account to ensure brands donate percentages to charity

Perfect for avid online shoppers, Emmanuel House has an easyfundraising profile that enables you to raise money whilst shopping with some of the UK’s biggest retailers.

For those familiar with Amazon Smile (which recently announced its closure), it’s a very similar set up, but enables donations from thousands of brands.

Brands donate a % of what you spend with them at no extra cost to you or us. Participating shops include Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Morrisons, Asda, Amazon, eBay, John Lewis, Etsy, Waitrose, H&M, Booking.com, asos, Boots and many more.

All you have to do is set up an account, choose your charity and ensure you always start shopping from the easyfundraising website or app, rather than the brand’s website or app.

If you know you want to buy something from John Lewis, M&S or eBay etc, rather than going straight to the brand’s website, visit the easyfundraising website or app first, search for the brand, and click through to its website. Continue shopping as normal, knowing that your online shopping will make a difference to your favourite charity. If you make a purchase, a commission is generated and easyfundraising turns that into a donation.

How to set up your easyfundraising profile

  1. Click on Emmanuel House’s easyfundraising page: https://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/emmanuelhousesupport/
  2. Click ‘Sign up and support this cause’
  3. Create an account

You can ‘add a donation reminder’ to your Chrome extension, which will notify you when you’re browsing a website that will donate to Emmanuel House.

Sometimes you’ll get a notification when you click on the homepage and sometimes the little easyfundraising logo will flash, encouraging you to click on it.

The extension will even remind you when you’re Googling brands:

Some brands, like The Body Shop, will offer higher donations to customers with accounts. For example, they will offer a 7% donation for new and existing customers, but if you check out as a guest, it will donate 3%.

How to use the easyfundraising app

It’s exactly the same process, just remember to open the easyfundraising app before you click on the Sparks app, or the Amazon app etc.

Supporting Emmanuel House with online shopping has never been simpler. Download the app today and sign up to start supporting homeless and vulnerable adults in Nottingham.
