Volunteers you are an essential element in making the Nottingham Winter Shelter happen, a lifeline to homeless people in Nottingham over winter.

Each year the Winter Shelter aims to improve its quality standards based on learning from the previous season. Regarding volunteering, we are particularly focusing on making the application process easier, improving communication, clarifying expectations, and giving advance notice of volunteering rotas. 

We are currently looking for volunteers that can help in the mornings, evenings and overnight volunteers to help the Shelter staff members full a safe and secure environment for all the shelter guests.

We rotate roughly every 4 weeks to different venues such as:  St Saviour’s Community Hall, St Christopher’s Church and Thomas Helwys. On your application form we would like you to indicate which of the shelters you are able to volunteer in.
