Emmanuel House is an independent charity and we strongly believe that the effectiveness of services offered to vulnerable and marginalized groups is dependent on our willingness to work creatively in partnership with other agencies.
Emmanuel House is the only open access support service within Nottingham City. It’s central location makes it a convenient setting for other agencies to meet with service users who do not have a settled accommodation. Emmanuel House has been present for 40 years and it is recognised as a hub by people who are vulnerable and seeking support as well as the other agencies who support them .
The City Cares Homeless Health Team and Frameworks Street Outreach Team come into Emmanuel House on a daily basis to engage with people who they would otherwise have difficulty to engage with.
Emmanuel House provide a consultation room for the health team to enable them to offer one to one medical support and advice. The centre also provides space for the Street Outreach Team to meet with people who are rough sleeping.
In 2016 Emmanuel House facilitate 1094 individual meetings between our service users and other agencies.
