Volunteers are incredibly important to Emmanuel House. As an organisation, we pride ourselves on offering a wide range of opportunities to people from across the local community.
For many, volunteering may be about gaining new skills, getting back into to work or giving something back to those in need.

People volunteering in Emmanuel House may be retired, own their own businesses, want volunteering experience that relates to work, come from different cultural and faith backgrounds or have some have impairments whether physical or relating to their emotional health. We make reasonable adjustments to accommodate volunteers with a disability.

How much time you offer is up to you. We aim to achieve a best fit for what you have to offer with our opportunities. Some people volunteer several times each week, some once every two or three weeks. Roles include:

The Charity Shop
Fund Raising
Helping in the Kitchen
Kitchen Stock Control

How to Apply:
Applying to volunteer is easy. By contacting us, you are not committing to anything. All applicants have the chance to look around and then if you are still interested you can have a ‘taster’ day to meet staff, visitors, volunteers and turn your hand to various jobs to see what you enjoy most.
