Emmanuel House is delighted to announce we have been chosen as Bird and Blend Tea Co.’s ChariTEA partner for July – September. This means that all the profit made from the sale of their ChariTEA, Vicky’s Sponge Cake, will be donated to Emmanuel House.
Born in a backroom in Nottingham but now based in Brighton, with stores in Bristol, London, Manchester, Nottingham, Brighton and Tunbridge Wells, Bird & Blend is co-founded by Nottingham girl, Krisi Smith and her husband Mike Turner.
Today, Denis Tully, Emmanuel House CEO visited the Nottingham Store to meet some of the team who will be selling the ChariTEA and helping to raise as much money and awareness for Emmanuel House as possible. Speaking of the partnership, Denis said “We are delighted to have been chosen as the ChariTEA partner for Bird and Blend Co. With this partnership, we will see our name and story featured in stores all over the country and on their website; it’s great that we will be reaching so many people in their network of customers and supporters. Once again, I am blown away by the support of businesses and their desire to help our cause.”
Krisi Smith, Bird and Blend Co-Founder is really excited about the new partnership: “The Nottingham store has been a long-term ambition, being the original home of the business and my home town. As an organisation, we like to champion charities local to our stores and those that our close to our hearts, so when the chance came to support a Nottingham Charity, Emmanuel House was my first choice.”
Bird and Blend’s range has over 70 blends of tea and like Emmanuel House, are independent and run by a small team. As part of the partnership, Emmanuel House will be holding events at the Nottingham store in the coming months and have a few exciting ideas in the pipeline. Watch this space for more information.
With this fan tastic partnership, Bird and Blend Tea Co. are giving Emmanuel House the opportunity to tell their story nationwide whilst raising money and working towards getting even more homeless and vulnerable adults into secure accommodation.
