Emmanuel House is an inclusive organisation, over the past 40 years we have worked with people who have a wide range of mental health and additional issues. These include but are not limited to offering support to those who have experienced domestic or sexual violence, substance misuse, alcohol dependency, relationship breakdowns or people who have come into contact with the criminal justice system.
We currently provide an outreach mental health service in South Notts and drop-ins are held at external agencies including the Friary, Framework’s Elizabeth House and Hope Café.
We have a Personal Navigator (Opportunity and Change) to support people with multiple and complex needs based within Emmanuel House and funded through Building Better Opportunities to tackle poverty and promote social inclusion.
Funding cuts have reduced accommodation options, external services have become more time-limited in the interventions they can offer and the Welfare Reform Act have all impacted on the mental health of the homeless and vulnerably housed people that we work with.
Emmanuel House is a named partner in Nottingham City’s Big Lottery funded Opportunity Nottingham initiative.
